Located in the vicinity of the regional center Celje, Žalec is a small city with a long history. Owing to the widespread cultivation of hops, the surrounding area became known as the “Valley of green gold” and Žalec as the center of the Slovenian hops industry. With its rich cultural heritage, picturesque city center, and the world’s first beer fountain, Žalec is also becoming a tourist destination in its own right. For us, the city also has a special importance, as it is located just a stone’s throw away from our offices, which is why we were delighted to take part in the process of improving its public lighting.
