Swimming in the limelight
We contributed to the completion of the energy retrofit of Velenje’s municipal swimming pool by providing 60 luminaires from our partner RZB and implementing an advanced lighting control system Dali, supplied by Vossloh-Scwhabe.
There was a whole lot going on at Velenje’s municipal indoor swimming pool in 2019. Namely, the company Resalta carried out a complete energy retrofit of the building which required not only substantial building renovations, investments in equipment and control systems, but also the modernization of lighting systems, where we were able to help out.
We chose 24 Lightstream luminaires in order to ensure proper illumination of the swimming areas. They not only provide exceptional energy efficiency, but are also noted for their robust aluminum construction, ease of installation, conformity with international Zhaga specifications (which greatly simplifies maintenance and future upgrades), high resistance to condensation, as well as their capability for minimizing glare by employing an integrated assymetrical reflector to determine the light distribution.
Other interior spaces, such as the wardrobe, halls, and reception, are illuminated by 36 Planox Eco luminaires. Their high ingress and impact protection characteristics, sealed end-caps, easy installation and low surface temperature ensure safe operation and uncomplicated maintenance, while the high level of light output homogeneity delivers optimal visual comfort for users and employees of the facility.
The final touch in quality lighting is the ability to precisely regulate its output, as that not only enables additional energy optimizations, but also contributes to the ambient atmosphere of the facilities. To achieve this, we implemented the advanced Dali regulation system, using high-quality components from Vossloh-Schwabe.
